About

The survey ran from March to April 2014 and had 60 respondents.

The results were visualized to show insights into what the crowdfunding process involves.

How much time did the responders invest in the campaign? What tasks are more time-consuming? Who are their funders – is it family, acquaintances or strangers? What communication channels bring more funders – social networks, e-mailing, formal meetings? What is the average donation? What is the average number of funders? What kind of external help did responders use while campaigning? What further help would they need? Would they crowdfund again? Why (not)?

These are some of the questions the survey posed its respondents.

The aim of the survey results is to allow you to carry a reality-check on what your expectations of crowdfunding are.
