On 31 October 2008 the Research into Practice conference has been held at the Royal Society of Arts, London. Research into Practice is the leading forum for scholarship on so-called practice-based research in the visual and performing arts, hosted biennially by the University of Hertfordshire, UK.

With the support of the lectoraat Kunsttheorie & onderzoek, Joa Hug (a former student of the SNDO and now a student in the master Artistic Research) participated in the Research into Practice conference. He wrote a report on the conference which is quite interesting.
