			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Soon after the <a href="http://www.abdn.ac.uk/modernthought/recoded/">Recoded conference</a>, or maybe already during the breaks, Esther Weltevrede (<a href="http://mastersofmedia.hum.uva.nl/">Masters of Media</a>) and I were thinking of creating a reference cloud by listing and counting the theorists that were referred to in the presentations. The reason was that, as described in the <a href="http://networkcultures.org/wpmu/weblog/2008/05/15/recoded-conference-aberdeen-day-one/">conference report</a>, the focus was so much on the notion of the medium, that we were wondering if indeed studying new media meant starting with reading Aristotle. So, here it is. And the winner is&#8230;.Heidegger!</p>
