On October 26, Paradiso Amsterdam presents ParaPlay, an event around profiling, tagging and security, with performances by KKEP, Z25.org Dat-a, Orchestra of Anxiety, and Live to Tell: Surveilling, Profiling
and Fixing Identities. Several TJs (DJs of Thought) exclamate their thought-provoking statements on how databodies (collections of personal data) these days travel the world on a higher speed than our physical bodies.
To contextualize this event, cut.up presents a special issue about the social consequences of profiling, tagging and security, titled Databodies. The Databodies issue contains articles by Richard Rogers and Sabine Niederer, Loes Sikkes, Michael Stevenson, Jasper Moes, and Esther Weltevrede.
