Join us for a triple book launch, micro book fair, live tactical television broadcast, and club night at OT301 in Amsterdam!

19:00-21:30 📖  Triple Books Launch & Live Stream Art 📹

During the Expanded Publishing Fest, we will be launching three special INC publications. In between the publication launches, friends and collaborators will join us on stage for conversations about expanded publishing. This program will be broadcast live on The Void, an audiovisual podcast platform for experimental publishing and artistic research started by the INC in 2022.

19:30-19:40: Welcome by hosts Carolina Pinto, Sepp Eckenhaussen, and Tommaso Campagna.

19:40-20:00: Launch of Screentime Airtime Facetime, our first ever event-as-book, edited by Carolina Pinto and Senka Milutinović. This publication on forms of hybridity in culture is the final result of our research project Going Hybrid. Designers Lukas Engelhardt and Paul Bille will present the book together with editors Senka and Carolina, and host Sepp.

20:00-20:30: Conversation on expanded publishing – what happens behind and beyond the book? Uitgeverij Spookstad, HumDrumPress, and Outline in conversation with hosts Carolina and Sepp.

20:30-20:50: Launch of De bevrijding van het mecenaat, edited by Sepp Eckenhaussen, the 49th book in the most prolific INC series Theory on Demand. This book, published in collaboration with Platform Beeldende Kunst, critically examines the rising power of philanthropists in the Dutch visual arts. Platform BK’s co-directors Jeannette Slütter en Harriet Morley will join editor and host Sepp on stage.

20:50-21:05: On the occasion of 20 years of Institute of Network Cultures, founders Geert Lovink and Emilie Randoe discuss the origins of the INC.

21:05-21:25: Launch of Semiotics of the End by Alessandro Sbordoni, the first book in our new series Network Notions, a pamphlet-like series that are produced, printed, and distributed entirely in-house by the INC. For the launch, author Alessandro will join editors Chloë Arkenbout, Geert Lovink, and Tommaso Campagna on stage.

21:25-22:00: Hybrid togetherness and digital performance with UKRAiNATV. Calling in from Krakow, Rom Dziadkieviz and Gleb Dovzuk will first speak with hosts Geert, Tommaso, and Giulia Timis, and then give an online performance. For this hybrid togetherness, we’re using the experimental conferencing app Mumler, created by artist and INC researcher Aga Antkowiak.
