Interview with Christopher Kelty: On the Culture of Free Software

A few weeks ago I read Christopher Kelty’s book on free software. I have just finished an email interview with the writer who I met twice, in 2001, when he was doing his field work for this study, at Wizard of OS 2 in Berlin, and a free software conference in Cambridge (UK), at least, so he told me. Here it is. I have posted in my pages category that will soon pop up again in right bar of this blog. The list of articles that I posted since early 2006 had grown so long that Anne Helmond, who renoved our INC blogs and website, had taken it away. But now there is no place for longer essay anymore. Is this a bug of feature of WordPress? Perhaps I am just misusing the short and snappy blog technology for the wrong purposes… What is the place of essays and articles in a blog culture that more and more turns into an aphormismic shooting of Twitter messages to each other?
