An update on translations and book tours.

Early this year my second translation in Mandarin came out, this time translated in a careful, accurate and stress-free way, without any censorship or content manipulation (!). An ode to our Taiwanese friends (and Conny, here in Amsterdam). I was in Taipei for the book launch in January for an amazing series of related book launches and talks. This is a special edition of Stuck on the Platform (Valiz, 2022) as some chapters were taken out (such as Zoom Fatigue, which, apparently did not happen in this same way during Covid in Taiwan), while later essays were added, such as Sad by Design, Extinction Internet and Copium. In that sense it can be seen as a first Geert Lovink Reader with recent work (2019-2025) 😉

Soon after the launch of the original English edition of Platform Brutality (Valiz, 2025), the sixth German translation with Transcript came out, again thanks to Petra Ilyes in Frankfurt am Main who did a marvelous translation: https://www.transcript-verlag.de/978-3-8376-8005-8/die-brutalitaet-der-plattform/.

Then, in the spring, the Spanish translation of  came out, again with Bellaterra Edicions: Brutalidad de plataforma: https://www.bellaterra.coop/es/libros/brutalidad-de-plataforma. I am also excited to announce the Italian translation of Platform Brutality that came out in July. I will be in Milan on September 21, Modena on the 22nd, Roma on 24/25th and Napoli on September 25/26. More details may follow.
