Ezequiel Soriano es antropólogo y artista interesado en la oralidad, la copia y la creatividad de las máquinas. A través de la experimentación textual y la etnografía, paraticipa de una creatividad ordinaria, dispersa y táctica vinculada al carnaval medieval y posdigital.

En esta ponencia, Ezequiel propone una lectura de los cores desde la memética, el aceleracionismo y el criollismo maquínico. Articulando líneas de pensamiento en táctica memética, teorías de los los Dark Forest de Internet y desbordamientos creativos de las inteligencias artificiales, Ezequiel ofrece una visión antropológica de las estéticas digitales.

Ezequiel Soriano is an anthropologist and artist interested in orality, copying, and the creativity of machines. Through textual experimentation and ethnography, he participates in an ordinary, dispersed, and tactical creativity linked to medieval and post-digital carnival.

In this presentation, Ezequiel proposes a reading of cores from the perspective of memetics, accelerationism, and machinic creolism. Articulating lines of thought on memetic tactics, theories of Internet Dark Forests, and creative overflows of artificial intelligence, Ezequiel offers an anthropological vision of digital aesthetics.

Gabriele de Seta es, técnicamente, un sociólogo. Investiga en la Universidad de Bergen, donde dirige el proyecto ALGOFOLK («Folclore algorítmico: La mutua configuración de la creatividad vernácula y la automatización»), financiado por una beca de la Fundación Trond Mohn (2024-2028). Escribe sobre memes, deepfakes y todo lo que entendemos por «IA».

Gabriele de Seta is, technically, a sociologist. He is a Researcher at the University of Bergen, where he leads the ALGOFOLK project (“Algorithmic folklore: The mutual shaping of vernacular creativity and automation”) funded by a Trond Mohn Foundation Starting Grant (2024-2028). He writes about memes, deepfakes, and whatever we mean by “AI”.

En esta conversación, los miembros fundadores de netsequé (cementerio de pixels + doltxe gabbana) emprenden un intento de formalización de su práctica. A lo largo de una conversación distendida sobre qué es netsequé, qué forma adopta su entramado y la evolución que ha mostrado hasta ahora, se ponen sobre la mesa los nichos y problemáticas que emergen al habitar Internet de una forma consciente (tribus urbanas digitales, dark forest, webdiaries, glitch, descentralización…). Durante la sesión también se llevo a cabo una JamHTML en directo en la que participaron lxs asistentes en sala y todxs lxs navegantes de internet de forma telemática.

netsequé surge de haber repetido “net” y sus miles variaciones etimológicas cien mil veces. Es la ciberpiscina del blablabla nosequé. Una conversación que comienza por un nodo aleatorio, y acaba por ser el virus perfecto: una reproducción infinita que acaba por convertirse en una epistemología en sí.

THE VOID (T.V.) es un proyecto de investigación sobre los usos tácticos del  vídeo en línea y un espacio de publicación audiovisual para la investigación artística. Con sede en el Instituto de Culturas en Red (INC), está formado por Tommaso Campagna, Giulia Timis y Jordi Viader Guerrero.

In this conversation, the founding members of netsequé (cemeneterio de pixels + doltxe gabbana) attempt to formalize the project: a relaxed conversation about what netsequé is, how it is structured, and how it has evolved so far. While discussing the niches and issues that arise when consciously inhabiting the Internet (digital urban tribes, dark forests, webdiaries, glitch, decentralization…), we held a live JamHTML session in which attendees in the room and all Internet users were able to participate online.

netsequé emerges from repeating “net” and its thousands of etymological variations a hundred thousand times. It is the cyber pool of blablabla something or other. A conversation that starts at a random node and ends up being the perfect virus: an infinite reproduction that ends up becoming an epistemology in itself.

THE VOID (T.V.) is a research project on tactical video and an audiovisual publishing venue for practice-based research. Based at the Institute of Network Cultures, THE VOID is comprised by Tommaso Campagna, Giulia Timis, and Jordi Viader Guerrero.

Dentro del marco del Lab 4 Futuros Raros, Diana Millán abre una navegación de términos, reels, substacks, blogs, publicaciones de Mastodon, grupos de Discord, citas bibliográficas y preguntas abiertas para darnos algunas claves de lo que ella denomina la Teoría Internet Core.

En el  contexto actual, donde las redes sociales dominan la circulación artística, esta ponencia argumenta que el arte post-internet debe enfrentarse a sus propias críticas y dar pie a un arte contemporáneo creado por una generación deslocalizada y nativa de la Web 2.0, que aporta una serie de estrategias dentro de las redes comerciales y refuerzos de la colectividad desde los “bosques oscuros”.

En este marco, la obra se convierte en un “core”: en un producto propio de las plataformas y comunidades contraculturales específicas en línea. El papel del artista resulta crucial, ya que actuaría como un traductor que descifra el significado detrás de cada estética, guiándonos de vuelta al núcleo de Internet.

Within the framework of Lab 4 Weird Futures, Diana Millán kicks-off a navigation of terms, reels, substacks, blogs, Mastodon posts, Discord groups, bibliographic citations, and open questions to give us some clues about what she calls Internet Core Theory.

In a context where social media dominates over artistic circulation, this presentation argues that post-internet art must confront its own criticisms and give rise to a contemporary art scene created by a delocalized generation native to Web 2.0. contributes a series of strategies within commercial networks and reinforces the collective from the “dark forests.”

Under this framework, the art work becomes a “core”: a product of specific online countercultural platforms and communities. The role of the artist becomes that of a translator deciphering the meaning behind each aesthetic and guiding us back to the core of the Internet.

Desde su propio trabajo artístico y su archivo personal, Andrés Cuesta Sacristán habla sobre la naturaleza y el imaginario común de Internet, las corrientes que emergen de su interior, el concepto de “new aesthetic” y las configuraciones estéticas formadas al mirar el mundo a través de la red. Igualmente, aborda el paso de lo nicho a los cores y cómo la web ha pasado de ser una plataforma introspectiva a un espacio en el que debemos resistir la pérdida de agencia y auto-significación en nuestros jardines etéreos.

Drawing on his own artistic work and personal archive, Andrés Cuesta Sacristán discusses the nature and shared imagery of the internet, the trends emerging from within it, the concept of “new aesthetic”, and the aesthetic configurations formed by viewing the world through the web. He also addresses the shift from niches to cores and how the web has gone from being an introspective platform to a space in which we must resist the loss of agency and meaning-making in our ethereal gardens.

La nostalgia digital con Leah J. Liu / Digital Nostalgia with Leah J. Liu

Partiendo de una pregunta íntima y fragmentada, Leah J. Liu, artista e investigadora predoctoral, se pregunta: ¿quién soy yo en la era post-internet? A través de sus propias imágenes generadas con IA —mujeres asiáticas que se parecen demasiado a ella pero que no lo son— habla de una identidad diluida, reconstruida y obsesionada con su propia imagen. Desde ahí, pasa al plano colectivo: la nostalgia digital como un síntoma de desorientación. Esta nostalgia no es un simple retorno al pasado, sino una forma de preguntar: ¿dónde estamos? ¿Estamos entre lo virtual y lo físico, entre lo vivido y lo imaginado, o entre la presencia y la pérdida? En esta intervención Leah propone pensar la belleza de esa pérdida —la de lugar, de forma, de certeza— como uno de los lenguajes esenciales de la estética de internet.

Starting from an intimate and fragmented question, Leah J. Liu, artist and predoctoral researcher, asks herself: who am I in the post-internet era? Through her own AI-generated images—Asian women who look too much like her but are not her—she speaks of a diluted identity, reconstructed and obsessed with her own image. From there, she moves to the collective plane: digital nostalgia as a symptom of disorientation. This nostalgia is not a simple return to the past, but a way of asking: where are we? Are we between the virtual and the physical, between the lived and the imagined, or between presence and loss? In this intervention, Leah proposes thinking about the beauty of that loss—of place, of form, of certainty—as one of the essential languages of internet aesthetics.

En defensa de lo “friki” con Kafheiina / In Defense of “Friki” with Kafheiina

Kafhi (más conocida como @Kafheiina), relata con humor y autenticidad su decisión de abrazar el rol de creadora de contenido, una identidad que encontró de forma natural al descubrir en Internet el refugio definitivo para su espíritu friki. Kafheiina explica cómo la red se convirtió en el ecosistema perfecto donde su coleccionismo obsesivo de flugers —peluches de culto de dudosa procedencia y valor incalculable para los iniciados— trascendió la mera acumulación para convertirse en la piedra angular de un proyecto vital. Esta intervención será una defensa a hacer cosas frikis para que otros frikis puedan frikear viendo sus tonterías, y sobre todo para recordarle al mundo que los frikis vinieron para quedarse. “Frikismo a tope” ≽^•⩊•^≼.

Kafhi (better known as @Kafheiina) recounts with humor and authenticity her decision to embrace the role of content creator, an identity she found naturally when she discovered the Internet as the ultimate refuge for her geeky spirit. Kafheiina explains how the web became the perfect ecosystem where her obsessive collection of flugers—cult stuffed animals of dubious origin and incalculable value to those in the know—transcended mere accumulation to become the cornerstone of a life project. This talk will be a defense of doing “friki” (peninsular Spanish anglicism derived from freak but actually referring to terminally online people engaging with geek, otaku, and kawaii culture ) things so that other “frikis” can “frik” out watching her nonsense, and above all to remind the world that “frikis” are here to stay. “Frikiness to the max” ≽^•⩊•^≼.

Zony Gómez muestra parte de los resultados obtenidos durante su paso por el programa de residencias 28044/30439 de NIGREDO.TV, el espacio independiente organizador del evento junto a Medialab Matadero. A lo largo de un mes, junto a varios tutores, Zony desrrolló su proyecto entre Madrid y Cehegín (Murcia).

Héctor Fuertes, bailarín y artista, nos comparte su investigación y los hallazgos a partir de entrevistas. Nos adentrará en la relación entre dos figuras arquetípicas: el ídolo pop y el fan. Su práctica se centra en la dimensión casi mística de este vínculo, la asimetría de poder que los separa y la constante retroalimentación entre ambos.

Zony Gómez presents some of the results obtained during his time in the 28044/30439 residency program at NIGREDO.TV, the independent space organizing the event together with Medialab Matadero. Over the course of a month, alongside several tutors, Zony developed his project between Madrid and Cehegín (Murcia).

Héctor Fuertes, dancer and artist, shares his research and findings from interviews. He will delve into the relationship between two archetypal figures: the pop idol and the fan. His practice focuses on the almost mystical dimension of this bond, the asymmetry of power that separates them, and the constant feedback between the two.

Espacio de encuentro para dialogar, compartir y contrastar experiencias de los colectivos de música eléctronica y performance VOIDSENT y AMBIENTADOR.exe. Esta conversación aborda cómo ciertos nichos de Internet desbordan en clubs nocturnos a través del hardcore experimental, el sound battelfield, el nightnoise, el knightcore, el emocore o el hardfantasy.

VOIDSENT es un colectivo que funciona como una red simbiótica entre cuerpos, máquinas y monstruas, donde el horror vacui deviene en celebración y el exceso en danza colectiva. Entre DJ sets —del hardcore al experimental—, performances y visuales, el colectivo crea espacios donde cuerpo, imagen y ritmo se potencian mutuamente. Sus encuentros apuestan por el maximalismo y el roleplaying como fuga frente a la edad oscura capitalista de control y alienación, proponiendo mundos alternativos.

A meeting place for dialogue, sharing, and comparing experiences between the electronic music and performance collectives VOIDSENT and AMBIENTADOR.exe. This conversation addresses how certain Internet niches spill over into nightclubs through experimental hardcore, sound battelfield, nightnoise, knightcore, emocore, and hardfantasy.

VOIDSENT is a collective that functions as a symbiotic network between bodies, machines, and monsters, where horror vacui becomes celebration and excess becomes collective dance. Between DJ sets—from hardcore to experimental—performances, and visuals, the collective creates spaces where body, image, and rhythm mutually enhance each other. Their encounters embrace maximalism and roleplaying as an escape from the dark capitalist age of control and alienation, proposing alternative worlds.
