Interns wanted for MoneyLab project and Digital Publishing

For the production of events and overall project management support of the MoneyLab project INC is looking for an INTERN with PRODUCTION & WRITING skills from 24 August until 18 December 2015 (0.8 fte).

The MoneyLab project aims to help establish a network of artists, activists and researchers to map and probe (alternative) strategies of redistribution and intervention in digital economy. On December 3-4 2015, the INC hosts the second MoneyLab conference in Amsterdam. The aim of this event is to actively engage with hackers, artists, designers, scholars, activists and other creators who take up the call for economic alternatives, strategies of intervention, critical currencies and revenue models and to foster their development and proliferation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, inquisitive and precise (former) student with knowledge and a demonstrated interest in the field of new media.

Internship duties vary but include:
Assisting INC staff with project- and event-related production and development support, including: logistical support, partner identification; liaison with partners and speakers, and the targeted promotion of events.

Other tasks include:
Research & Writing tasks:
• Write literature reviews on subjects related to MoneyLab project • attend project related events • collect interesting and relevant literature • assist the program committee with writing the program • write contributions for the MoneyLab project blog

Production tasks:
• Attend meetings • work as part of the organizational team • assist with general office operations • handle travel, registration and logistics of participants • targeted promotion activities • update the website and blog

As the INC has an international scope, active English skills are required, in speaking and writing. In addition, you have strong writing and communication skills, and experience with social media management and web administration. You balance a desire to learn, take initiative and suggest better practices and take constructive feedback.

Monthly compensation € 450,-
