Thomas van Aalten is a critically acclaimed Dutch writer and teacher at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. In this interview he answers questions on digitalization. He thoughtfully formulates his views on topics like reading culture, sales of e-books and a so called ‘Spotify for books’. Van Aalten believes that literature and the printed book are not by definition the same thing and he certainly sees a future for e-books or new ways of storytelling.
