On November 17-18 we hosted the MyCreavity conference in Amsterdam. Here at the Institute of Network Cultures we’re still recovering from this exciting event. I personally experienced some ups and downs on the first day but truely enjoyed the consistent high level of the second day with the precarity forum, the debate with WIPO representative Donna Ghelfi and the tour around Europe in the afternoon. Hype or not, the event showed that a lot of inspiring critical work is being done in the ‘creative industries’ field. Audio and video recordings of the event will become available early January, including pictures. MA students of the University of Amsterdam have been blogging the event at their Masters of Media blog. For MyCreativity we produced a free newspaper (circulation 10,000) together with the Sandberg Institute. We’re still waiting for the copies to arrive but once they are here you can let us know if you would like to receive some of the copies. The pdf of the newspaper will be online soon. A last detail… we expect the documentation of MyCreativity (a book/pdf with the contributions) to be ready in February 2007.
