Preferably with huge interest or experience with React.js, Javascript (DOM), HTML5 and CSS.
For one of our clients (a Dutch architectural studio specialized in architecture and urban development) we are looking for a front-end developer, preferably with huge interest of learning or experience with React.js, Javascript (DOM), HTML5 and CSS.
The PublishingLab conducts applied research by doing innovative experiments in the field of (digital) publishing. This can be research on the impact of developments on the branch as a whole, conducting small experiments in the field of EPUB3 such as research/work on user interfaces for collaborative online editing environments, research/work on conveying hybrid publishing concepts and workflows to a non-expert audience or just looking into interesting design problems to tackle.
As is likely with most front-end positions nowadays, there isn’t really much to differentiate them. However, this position is different solely because of the technologies used (React) and the excitement and variation of the design challenge you will be a part of. You will be part of multidisciplinary team guided by experts from the industry and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
Along with this, there are a few benefits on offer:
- You have a huge say in where the project is going.
- You can play an active part in the technologies that are used at any given moment.
- You have a performance related pay that is reviewed often, again, if employees are bringing success to a company and working hard, it will be rewarded.
- You will intern with us for 3 to 6 months (includes a small allowance.
If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, please apply by sending your letter of application and portfolio / CV (English) to m.riphagen@hva.nl, or upload here: https://publishinglab.networkcultures.org/team/join-us/. We look forward to hearing from you! For more information about us visit: http://publishinglab.nl.
