The Public 2.0 research as a first activity of the Programme line with the same name has come to an end. This three months research has been initiated in order to answer some vital questions related to the media art collections of NIMk and the groups of users that use this collection.
1. How do users approach the collection at NIMk, what needs do they have?
2. Is there a need for active user participation and how can this be realised in a meaningful way?
3. What can be drawn and learned from other successful online initiatives and
applications?
4. How can NIMk generate income from the collection?
In this research report the reader will find: an overview of the methodologies used along the process in order to answer these questions, an approach to the actual situation in terms of needs for online communication for diverse target groups, and various recommendations that NIMk should look at in the following fazes of this programme.
