Library Stack: connecting (hybrid) publications and libraries

Check out Library Stack, a project that works towards connecting artistic publications and library databases, and interested in getting in touch with relevant partners. Here’s a short intro:

Library Stack is an online database, archive and distribution system for digital publications from the visual arts, design, architecture and theory. We collect ebooks, video, audio and software, while focusing on ephemera like podcasts, filmed lectures, field recordings or typefaces. By indexing these non-traditional publications according to Open Archives standards, depositing their metadata into the WorldCat database, and archiving the original files in secure cloud storage, Library Stack works within a post-custodial paradigm to provide a portal between independent publication platforms and library patrons. Library Stack serves artists, faculty, students and researchers by mapping the new landscape of arts publishing and connecting it with wider topics in the humanities.
