MoneyLab is an international network of artists, hackers, designers, economists and activists who explore forms of financial democratization. MoneyLab #9 will take place in Helsinki in September 19-20, 2020.
Envisioning post-capitalist models of economy and organisation, the Moneylab #9 programme includes:
*Talks and debates on cooperative and cryptographic organising, the turn from economic media to social media, decentralised finance and experiments in governance, hosted by Akseli Virtanen with Jonathan Beller, Dick Bryan, Colin Drumm, Primavera di Filippi & Nathan Schneider, Ana Fradique, Jyrki Jauhiainen, Ela Kagel, Geert Lovink and Tere Vadén as guests.
*Games for Strange Economies, a workshop to imagine, explore and play with economic- organizational forms, facilitated by Pekko Koskinen with Ana Fradique, Vienne Chan and Ruby van der Wekken.
*Art projects mapping post-capital landscapes by Vienne Chan/Forms of Ownership and Timo Bredenberg.
*Money Primer – a campaign and glossary for economic citizens by Money Lab Helsinki team.
Taking place inside the new Helsinki Oodi central public library building, the event follows guidelines for a corona safe space with a limited amount of seats for live studio audience and workshop participants. The event is free of charge but requires registration by Friday 18.9 here.

MoneyLab #9 is co-produced by m-cult and Economic Space Agency ECSA. In cooperation with: Institute of Network Cultures, Oodi Central Library, Robin Hood Cooperative and Supermarkt Berlin.
